Концерт Столичного Симфонического Оркестра «Бородин, Чайковский» в Большом зале Московской консерватории.
3 февраля в Большом зале Московской консерватории состоится концерт Столичного Симфонического Оркестра под управлением Владимира Горбика при участии Лукаса Генюшаса (фортепиано). Прозвучит Вторая «Богатырская» симфония Бородина и Концертная фантазия Чайковского для фортепиано с оркестром.
Программа концерта – одновременно консервативная и дерзновенная. Эпический шедевр, во многом определивший судьбу русского симфонизма, – и малоизвестная, удивительно свежая страница истории фортепианного концерта. Что объединяет эти сочинения? Прежде всего – уникальность русского стиля и необычайная смелость в обращении с традиционными европейскими жанрами. Чайковский и Бородин гармонично соединяли черты различных культур и шли – каждый своим путём – к обретению своего языка и стяжанию «русского духа» в музыке.
Своим путём продолжает развиваться и Столичный Симфонический Оркестр, который исполнит программу «Бородин, Чайковский». Это относительно молодой коллектив, созданный в 2017 году как международный проект. Его основатель, художественный руководитель и главный дирижёр — старший преподаватель Московской консерватории Владимир Горбик, ведёт обширную творческую деятельность как в России, так и в Америке.
В 2019 году работа дирижёра удостоилась номинации на премию «Грэмми». Пресса неизменно отмечает его внимательное, бережное, трепетное отношение к партитуре. «Его дирижёрский жест ясен и лишён каких бы то ни было преувеличений»

Виртуозную и весьма необычную Концертную фантазию Чайковского исполнит Лукас Генюшас. Он родился в 1990 году в семье потомственных музыкантов. В 2013 году окончил Московскую консерваторию. Лауреат множества престижных конкурсов, включая Международный конкурс имени Шопена
(II премия, 2011) и Международный конкурс имени Чайковского
(II премия, 2015).
Музыкант, чью исполнительскую манеру отличают «блеск и зрелость» (газета «Гардиан»), выступает с сольными концертами в таких залах, как Вигмор-Холл, Консертгебау в Амстердаме, Зал Гаво, Аудиториум Лувра, Коллекция Фрика в Нью-Йорке, Собрание Филлипса, Театр Карло Феличе, Зал Верди в Милане и Большой зал Московской консерватории.

Concert of Capital Symphony Orchestra “Borodin, Tchaikovsky” at the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
On February 3, the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory will host a concert by Capital Symphony Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Gorbik, featuring pianist Lukas Geniušas. The program will include Alexander Borodin’s Symphony No. 2 “Bogatyr” and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Concert Fantasia for piano and orchestra.
The concert program is simultaneously conservative and audacious. An epic masterpiece that largely defined the destiny of Russian symphonism stands alongside an infrequently performed, remarkably fresh page in the history of the piano concerto. What unites these compositions? Above all, it is the singularity of the Russian style and an extraordinary boldness in engaging with traditional European genres.
Both Tchaikovsky and Borodin harmoniously integrated elements of diverse cultures, advancing—each along his individual path—toward attaining their own voices and capturing the true Russian spirit in music.
Capital Symphony Orchestra continues to advance along its individual evolutionary path, presenting the program “Borodin, Tchaikovsky.” This is a relatively young ensemble, established in 2017 as an international initiative. Its founder, artistic director, and conductor—Senior Lecturer at the Moscow Conservatory, Vladimir Gorbik—maintains an extensive artistic presence in both Russia and the United States.
In 2019, the conductor’s work earned a Grammy Award nomination. The press consistently highlights his meticulous, deeply respectful, and nuanced engagement with the score. “His conducting gesture is clear and devoid of any exaggeration...” (James A. Altena, Fanfare Magazine, USA).

The virtuosic and exceptionally distinctive Concert Fantasia by Tchaikovsky will be performed by Lukas Geniušas. Born in 1990 into a distinguished lineage of musicians, he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 2013. He is a laureate of numerous prestigious competitions, including the International Chopin Piano Competition (Second Prize, 2011) and the International Tchaikovsky Competition (Second Prize, 2015).
The musician, whose performative style is distinguished by “brilliance and maturity” (The Guardian), appears in recital at such renowned venues as Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Salle Gaveau, the Auditorium du Louvre, The Frick Collection in New York City, The Phillips Collection, Teatro Carlo Felice, Sala Verdi in Milan, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory.
